What are the office and store hours?

The Uncommon Threads office is open Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 am -3:00 pm. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Morning shifts are 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and afternoon shifts are 12:00 - 2:00 pm.

 

Uncommon Closet is open to the public most Tuesdays, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, and Saturdays 10:00am-1:00pm

Is there parking?

Yes, There is plenty of free parking in the lot off of Island Street. Enter at 60 Island street (look for the Spicket River Brewing mural on the side of the building). After you park, enter the front entrance of the building and follow signs to our space in the back.

 

Do I need to commit to a certain schedule?

No! Join us when it works best for your schedule. However, if you choose to become a Stylist, please be prepared to commit to the days you sign up because we will have clients scheduled to come in knowing you will be there and we'd hate to have to cancel. Same goes for Uncommon Closet Sales Associates because we can't open the store without sales people. Inventory Coordinators come as their schedule allows. Many volunteers also choose to be “on call” for special events such as fundraisers, private shopping parties and our tent sales.  

 

How do I sign up for volunteer shifts?

We have an online sign-up system where you can add and remove shifts as you need to. After new volunteer orientation, you will receive access to the sign-up website.
